A radiography practice that provides surgeons with diagnostic radiographers to screen intraoperatively in the theatre. We dedicate a radiographer to each surgeon’s theatre list and provide 24/7 emergency calls. Our radiographers are trained to be part of the theatre team. Our objectives are to provide high-quality screening services to the operating surgeons as well as patient care. Our radiographers are competent and share the sterile goals.
A-Rad
Theatre Screening Services
The A-Rad team consists of skilled radiographers specifically trained to work in dedicated fields: Vascular, Cardiac, Urology, Neurology, Orthopedic, Pediatric, and General Surgery. The radiographers are registered with HPCSA, and the practice assists each radiographer in obtaining CPD points. The practice provides each radiographer with their own dosimeter and monitors their radiation exposure. A call roster will be emailed to the theatre reception on a weekly basis, providing contact details of the dedicated radiographer. Additionally, an SMS will be sent on Fridays to inform each surgeon about their designated radiographer on call for the weekend.
